Commemorating National Transportation Day, Juanda Airport Launches Blood Donor Event

SURABAYA - In commemorating the National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) Year 2016 falling on September 17, 2016, PT Angkasa Pura I of the Juanda International Airport Surabaya office and Region III Authority of the Juanda Airport launched social events such as blood donor day jointly with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Sidoarjo, Thursday (15/09).

This blood donor social action involved not only employees of PT Angkasa Pura I and the Airport Authority but also the entire community of the Airport such as Airlines, Customs & Excise, Immigration, Health Quarantine and passengers performing activities at the airport.

This activity of blood donation is a joint effort between Region III Authority of the Bandara Juanda and Angkasa Pura I of the Juanda Airport with the purpose of sharing. In addition, this event was carried out in commemorating the National Transportation Day Year 2016, said the General Manager of the Juanda Airport, Yuwono.

The blood donor event at the Juanda Airport can see 150 donors today (15/09) and is expected to maintain blood stock at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI)- Sidoarjo.

Meanwhile, PMI Sidoarjo expected that such this blood donation activity can be performed routinely because this blood donation is very beneficial in helping community members needing blood.
