The Travelers at Juanda Airport Expected to Rise 5% This Year

Jakarta – The number of travelers who use plane at Juanda International Airport is expected to rise 5 percents. This number applies to domestic and international flights.

“For domestic flight, we estimate rising up to 3-5 percent. While international flight between 10-11 percent,” said the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I branch Juanda Surabaya in Sidoarjo, Trikora Hardjo to detikcom on Tuesday (8/7/2014).

From the raising level of travelers, Trikora said, the total number of passengers during Lebaran is 847.967 people. With details of 746.991 domestic passengers who served by 5.617 planes. And international passengers with 100.976 people served by 720 planes.

Whereas most of passengers expect will happen at D-3 and D-2 or on July 25-26. And the reversal will occur in the D+5 and D+6 or on August 3-4.

“During the top of Lebaran Day, we estimate between 57 thousands passengers/day consisting of 50 thousands domestic passengers and about 6-7 thousands of international passengers,” he said.

Trikora added, to give information and security of passengers during Lebaran, we will provide Monitoring Post either at terminal 1 and terminal 2 of Juanda International Airport which will operate for 24 hours.
